In 2022, Blue Jay Montessori began as a small group of parents who were brought together by our love of children. Fast-forward to today, we became a warm and loving community of children, caregivers, and educators who inspire intrinsic motivation, acceptance, and discovery for every learner, big and small.
Our Mission…
Our mission is to bring the authentic, beautiful, and peaceful Montessori environment into the daily lives of children, one home at a time.
From birth to age six, the child’s absorbent mind would take in more information from their environment (sensory details, language, behaviors, etc.) than any other periods of their life. Like a sponge, the child’s mind is absorbing all that is around them, eagerly and indiscriminately. Hence, it is vital for adults to foster that love of learning by interacting with the child mindfully while curating an environment that facilitates the child’s development of order, coordination, concentration, and independence.
We are here to provide those tools for families in creating the best environment at home for their child’s course of natural development.
~Meet Ms. Danni, Your Montessori Guide~
Greetings and welcome to Blue Jay Montessori! My name is Danni Wei, founder and AMS guide, and I love assisting families that want to incorporate Montessori principles into their homes and everyday life.
I show families how to encourage their child’s independence while setting clear and kind boundaries. I assist them in regaining a greater sense of calm in their lives while navigating the challenges of parenting.
Additionally, children adore having age-appropriate activities that they can practice and become proficient at, developing independence and a greater sense of self in the process.
Among my credentials are:
- American Montessori Society (AMS) and MTEC certifications
- Child Development ECE certification
- B.A. in Studio Arts from UC Riverside
- M.A. in Education (AM2) from St. Catherine’s University
As a mother myself, I too am embarking on the wondrous journey of parenthood, and it would be such an honor if I can guide your family on your journey as well.
Work with me by joining one of my playgroup classes or sign up for a parent workshop.
I look forward to connecting with your child and your family.
*The Montessori teacher is called a ‘guide’ because we direct the child through various works and do individual presentations based on our observations, rather than from a prepared curriculum.
~Meet Ms. Stacy, Your Discovery Guide~
Hello and welcome to Blue Jay Montessori!
I am Stacy Acevedo, a stay-at-home mamma and discovery/exploration guide, and I enjoy helping kiddos foster a love for learning.
I am in my stay-at-home mamma era and I am loving it. Formerly, I was a high school math teacher and enjoyed my job, but I am blessed to be able to stay home and be with my children. Since I am home, I decided to take my passion for teaching and apply it to my children. No, my toddler is not a math prodigy and I do not have her sit and do math drills and make her count to 10 multiple times daily. Instead, I have harnessed my love for teaching by giving my toddler meaningful tasks and opportunities to practice life and learning skills. I thoroughly enjoy observing and nurturing my little ones as they develop a love for learning through play and discovery.
My role in Blue Jay Montessori is to help stimulate a sense of wonder in children by providing opportunities to explore and discover. Once per month, after class, I will be leading our children and parents through a science-based activity. Not only will our children be awed by fun science experiments, but we as their parents get to learn alongside them and model first-hand how fun learning can be. I look forward to our time together, see you all soon!
Among my credentials are:
Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics (CSUSB)
Masters in Education (University of Redlands)
BCLAD Certified
BARR Certified
AVID Certified

“To aid life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself, that is the basic task of the educator. The child can develop fully by means of experience in his environment. We call such experiences ‘work.’”
