Here are some fun facts about the iconic tom turkey:

  1. The Wattle and Snood: These are the fleshy bits hanging from a turkey’s neck and beak. The snood actually helps males attract a mate!
  2. Gobble Sounds: Only male turkeys, or toms, gobble. They use their gobble to communicate and establish territory.
  3. Superb Vision: Turkeys can see three times better than humans and have a nearly 360-degree field of view.
